Long Time
Jeez. It has been a really long time since I have posted anything. Well, I went to Skatelab a little while ago. It was super fun. The day we went it was about 106. So it was nice to stay inside. The 1st little area you walk into was fun. It had some small down bars and pyramids that were fun. But the other room was more fun. With the roll-in th euro-gap. That was really fun so I rode that for a long time and got a kickflip on that. Then the small flatter gap over on the side was really fun too. But probably the best part of the whole thing was the pool. The transitions were a little quick and the wood was alittle slow, but it was still really fun. There were some small kids getting some major backside airs on the deep end. Overall it was a fun session. Outside of the park was fun also, but I didn't spend much time there seeing as it was so hot. All of the mini ramps were fun though and I got some new tricks. It was in general and very fun session. I didn't really learn anything new, but I had fun skating the park. I sure it will be more fun once I get better.

Vans
What's up!!! I have been still super busy lately!!! Haven"t gotten to skate that much. However...I have been to Clairemont and Vans. Clairemont was fun like usual. I can now boardslide shuv it out of the bank to bar close to the pool. And I learned some new mini tricks. But Vans was also really fun. We got there and I headed for that hidden little mini. It is perfect as always. I mastered the tricks I learned at Clairemont there. Then I hit the bigger mini for awhile. Over all it was fun. My wheels don't really grip that much, so I didn't hit the bowl that much. But overall it was fun and I hope to go back soon. More posts to come sooner.

1st Weekend of August
Well, this last weekend was pretty great. I went and skated at the Coronado Skatepark. That was awesome!! The transitions there are more streetish, and they have some really fun bowls. I put a rail down the pyramid and made it a down rail. Then I hit my 1st down rail. I got Backboard to Fakie and Backboard to Normal. I tried Frontboards but just couldn't commit. Then I tried a new skatepark. The Woodglen Vista Skatepark. It was awesome!! The only issue is that you can't just pay for a session. It is 20 bucks for a full year membership. I paid it and skated the park. The entire park is fine, but the best part is a small 8/9 stair. It is technically an 8 stair, but there is a big crack just before the takeoff and a huge crack about a foot after the 1st step, so to clear it, it is basically a 9 stair. I ollied that. And there is a perfect down rail. It is super small and mellow. I just couldn't bring myself to hit it and I can't get back there soon enough to try it!!!! i would try it right now if i could!!! Anyways, it was an awesome weekend. Video to come.

High Cascade aka Heaven
Oh my gosh!!! Imagine getting up in the middle of summer, putting your snowboarding gear on, and having a full day of progression in a ptrivate snowboard park made to learn new tricks, with the help of a professional coach, and getting to ride with friends. Well, you have just imagined High Cascade Snowboard Camp. I was lucky enough to get to go to Session 2. And it was amazing.
It started on June 25th. We got up around 4:00 am and began the journey. My dad and I headed to the airport, got on the plane, and were off. We got to the Portland Airport around 9:30 am. I met up with some High Cascade people and began my High Cascade experience. After I met up with them we had about an hour or so to just hang out. So I hung out with 3 other guys that ere waiting also. They were all really nice. Then the van showed up, we packed in and headed up. It was about a 2 hour drive from the airport to Government Camp, OR which is where the camp is located. On Mt. Hood. We talked the whole ride and finally made it to camp.
We got out, stretched out legs, and made our way to registration. There, we were checked by the camp nurse, got our housing arrangments, and our authorization wristbands. I dropped my stuff off at my cabin and then went to the skateparks. It was a really fun skatepark. Lots of different elements, tranny, street, stuff like that. I pretty much skated there and made friends until orientation. We all met at the bowls and had our 1st full camp meeting. Just to get to know everything. After that, it was back to skating then dinner, then back to the cabins to watch tv and stuff. I met my other 17 cabin mates and we were all just happy to be there.
The next day was suppposed to be the 1st day of riding, but it was SO foggy and rainy that they did not let us go up. It was a terrible start to the session. So instead of riding, we went paintballing. It was still super fun! Just not as fun as it could have been riding. So that day was fine and we got back and hung out a little bit. Then we ate dinner hung out some more and went back to the cabin for bed.
The weather the next day was the total opposite from the previous day. It was sunny and warm and perfect. This was the 1st day we got to ride with our coaching group and our coach. I got the best coach up there, Johnny O'Connor. And my group was awesome too. Except for 1 kid who annoyed me, but I didn't let him get in the way of me having the best time. The 1st day was supposed to be a day to get your feet back under you riding, but instead, I decided that since we had missed the 1st day, I had no time to get my feet under me. So the 1st day back, since I never learned anything backside on rails, I learned Backside 50-50 and Backside Boardslides. I got both of those down, so it was a great start to the progression.
The park was amazing. It had, no only everything, but every size of everything. There were big jumps, little jumps, Big rails, little rails, big hips, little hips, big pipes, little pipes, and medium everything. I learned a lot that I can now take to bigger things.
The next day was also bluebird. I took that day to get the tricks that I had learned the day before on lock. Then I learn Frontside Lipslides and Backside Lipslides. I took the rest of the day to put all the tricks I had learned into lines.
The next day, it was super foggy so we ended up riding the public park. The Timberline Terrain Park, had some perfect jumps to try new stuff on. I got a Frontside 360 on a 40 foot tabletop that I was pretty stoked on. And there were many rails. Also, there were 2 hidden features. There was a rainbow box, that was attached to a C box, that a lot of people didn't see and hurt themselves on. Also, there was an up box, to down box, that people got hurt on, because you couldn't see it. Other than that the park was fun.
The day after that was the same thing. We rode the public park all day because it was too foggy up top. It was still totlly fun though. And we took laps the whole day.
The next day, the weather was really bad, but we were allowed to go up anyways. We went up and took a couple runs, then it began to pour down rain. So we stopped and got lunch. My entire group including my coach, chose to leave. But since your aren't allowed to ride without a HCSC Staff member, Johnny hooked me up with Seth Hill, as a coach. So I got to ride with his group for the second half of the day. It was still pouring rain, but on our last run we decided to go into the trees and meet up with this other group that had built a little jump perfect for flipping and stuff. other people were throwing straight airs and stuff, and I wanted to try something new, so I went for a Nollie Frontflip and I got it 1st try. I think people were pretty impressed. Then I tried backflips and got them around my 3rd try. So I learned both Backflips and Frontflips in the span of about 10-15 minutes. Which I think is pretty cool. It started to REALLY pour so we were forced to leave. But I am SUPER glad that I chose to stay and keep riding otherwise I wouldn't have learned those tricks. There was no skating that day when we got back because the skatepark was too wet. So we just talked and stuff.
This was our last day on hill. So everyone was getting there last runs in. I just took this day to get everything that I had learned on lock. This was also the day that I got to play a game of 4 on 4 basketball with Danny Davis and Jack Mitrani. That was super awesome. I was walking around and got to meet Kevin Pearce and get a picture with him. He is really nice.
The next day was our final day. I got up normal time and had breakfast. Then we loaded up the Vans, headed to the PDX, boarded our planes, and headed home.

Oceanside
Hello. Last week I went to the Oceanside parks. Both of them. They were both super fun. 1st, we went to the MLK Park and session that for awhile. There were some really good skaters there sessioning the bowl/flow section. I was mostly in the street area, but I was kind all over. I got a backside flip on the hip in the street section, and Airwalk out of the smallest quarterpipe after the roller in the flow section, and a backside disaster in the same spot. It was a really good session, until I took a run towards the end and tried to keep as much speed as possible but ended up powersliding onto my back. After that, we headed over to the Melba Bishop park. This park was a little more crowded yet still super fun. I worked on kickflip stuff mostly. Up banks, onto banks, flat, on quarterpipes, etc. I 50-50'd the entire fun box next to the trash can. Overall it was a very productive day and hopefully we will go back there soon to perfect the tricks I know and also hopefully learn some tricks that I have never tried before.

Snow Summit
Hello. Sorry for the lack of posts. I have been busy. Anyways, this post is kind of delayed, but I went to Snow Summit on one of the last days of the season. It was really fun, but I only took 1 run the whole day cause it was the only one with park features on it. I lapped it all day!!! It was awesome!! I landed a really good Front 3 Indy which I was stoked on. Here is the video from that!!

Mammoth
I woke up the next day and took a look outside right away. IT WAS SUNNY!!!! The storm had passed, the clouds had parted and it was bluebird out! Although it was still really cold, I was exstatic. We got ready, bought our tickets and hopped onto a shuttle. In a few short minutes we were at main lodge looking up at the most wonderful, powder covered mountain. We took the Panorama Gondola up for our 1st run, just cause it was still kinda windy and cold, and we wanted to be warm and get ready to ride. A short gondola right up and we were strapped in at the top, and began our awesome day!
The day was spectacular. We took a couple runs on Forest trail and I decided to hit the bigger lips on all the jumps. Which I don't normally do, 3rd or 4th run. I dropped in and sent one flying. It felt awesome. So after that triple line, there were a couple runs to cut off, and hit the POW. My dad and I decided to hit the POW while it was there. It was SO smooth and fluffy. The trees were the best part, as you could get some really nice sprays. After the powder runs we were back to the park for awhile. We would alternate hitting Forest Trail and Main Park. I would hit everything on Forest Trail and hit all the jibs on Main, just not the jumps. Those runs were spectacular and I got my mojo going there with some skatestyle stuff. They had this fun little line. A lifttower (down barrel), to down rail, to lifttower, to other lifttower, to Down Flat Down rail. I hit that every run on Main, except for the Down Flat Down rail, which I tried later. Then we decided to make our way over to South Park and Jibs Galore.
As we traversed the mountain, in a way, we hit all the powder runs since there wasn't much park in between. We reached Chair 4 and started lapping. After a couple runs to check everything out, I decided to hit some stuff. I hit the jumps in South park, which were a little big for me, but still totally fun and cool that I got to push myself a little further. I wish I could do that everday. Then on jibs galore, I hit every feature except for another Down Flat Down rail, which I will admit, I was scared to hit. My dad hit the powder in the trees and he enjoyed himself too. Then he filmed me on some stuff, and after we started filming, as usual, the stuff that I had stomped before, I could not seem to get. I even had trouble on some simple down rails. I must've hit this down rail on Jibs Galore atleast 8 or 9 times. I would fall, so I would hike it. It was a lot of work to hike, but totally worth it when I landed it. We filmed some more stuff there and then went and met up with my mom for lunch at Main Lodge.
We traversed back over to Main Park and stopped down at main Lodge to have lunch. It was a good lunch, but to be honest, I just wanted to get back out on the hill. We finished lunch and heard about my mom's day, and then headed back out for another couple hours on hill.
We kinda stayed in Main and Forest Trail for pretty much the rest of the time. It was super fun hitting all those features again, and again, and again. A couple hours more of park stuff and then the mountain closed and we headed back to the hotel.
After we got back to the hotel, I changed into normal clothes, and grabbed my gear. Then my mom took me to the Volcom Bros Skatepark. Since my dad was so beat from an entire day of riding.
The park was fun except for the fact that the pool and part of the flow sections were filled with snow from the night before. Most of the park was fine though. Being back there a second time, I really noticed things I didn't before. Just some rails I didn't see or a line that I hadn't thought of. There was this one line that I hit several times that shot me out onto a little transfer that I could air over. It was fun. All the guys there were really nice. 1 guy stayed mostly in the street section hitting the down rail. 1 guys was trying to 360 flip up a bank, 1 guys was on a bike and trying 180s out of the flow section. They were all super cool and all pretty good. But then it started to get pretty cold as the sun went down, so we decided to leave. It was still really fun, and I hope to get back there soon.
We ate at a place, I forget the name, but they served a lot of chicken. Like that was there specialty. Anyways, we ate there that night and I was super tired from the busy day. I didn't eat much but it all looked good. We got back to the hotel and I hung out for a bit and went to sleep.
The next morning, we got up, but since we already had our tickets, we didn't have to go get some. However, we were checking out of the hotel at noon, so my mom would have to kill a few hours after we checked out, while my dad and I were still on the hill. She is so great. We loaded most of the stuff into the truck so she wouldn't have to, and then we caught a shuttle.
We got there the second day and it was just as amazing as the first. This time we started off in Main park again and got warmed up. Then headed over to South Park. There were only a few changes made to the park, but enough to keep it interesting. This time, where there had previously been a giant roller, there was a medium sized step up. That one was fun. The whole park was really fun and we filmed a little more this time. I finally hit the Down Flat Down rail. I could not seem to make it all the way but it was fun to atleast know that I tried. I will get it next time. We headed back towards Main park and took 1 or 2 more runs. My dad then took his last run and went out to the car my mom had brought to load and organize all of our stuff for the ride back. I kept riding since the mountain wasn't closed yet. I hadn't had anything to eat or drink the whole day, which was not smart, and already being tired, plus no food or water the whole day, and riding all day, I was sooo tired. I took a couple more runs but was so thirsty that I made the trek out to the car to get water. I sat down and ate some bars and stuff, and drank a water bottle, but I was so tired that I didn't go back out to the mountain, even though I so desperately wanted to. I felt as though it would have been a really bad idea to go back. So although I didn't think it would be my final run, it was. The day was still great though.
Overall, the whole trip was amazing I hope I get to go back more next season. Thanks so much to my awesome parents who both took a day off of work to take me, and both made that long drive. That so much and it was awesome. :)

This Last Weekend, Yes. 2 posts for 1 Weekend
Now since I've already told you about this last weekend, here is a video that I made for this weekend. I forgot to cut the music so when the actual videos stop and it goes black, you can stop it. Nothing great will happen after. So here it is.
22" of Fresh at Mountain High
Sorry this post was supposed to be from last week. Anyways...I went up this weekend and it was amazing!!! The best tree riding I've ever had!!!! Plus awesome park!!!! Here is a video from the day!!! Best day of the season by far!!!!!
High Shreddin Vol 5
We went up to Mountain High this weekend. My dad, my friend Brandon, and I. I was fun. The starteed out kinda bad, cause I hit a box weird and ended up slamming my face into the snow, but after that it was an awesome day. I ended up landing a Frontside 540 and a Frontside 540 quick revert 180 to 720. Brandon landed a "talefish" Backside 360 that was pretty corked. I also landed my first Frontside Lipslide. My dad was awesome and took me and filmed and photographed me. So thank you to him. :)Towards the end of the day, the snow got really slow but it was fun overall. We did film a couple runs each and decided to make an edit. This is my friend Brandon's awesome edit. Please go to youtube by clicking the little youtube button on the bottom right of the video, like the video, and subscribe to his channel. He pretty much only posts video of him and me snowboarding. So here is the video.
